Blog #3 – Social Media Usage Among Adults

  1. This article analyzed demographic characteristics among adults on five major social media platforms: Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter. While most of the research came out to young adults (18-29) being the majority users of each platform, LinkedIn had more users that were middle aged adults (30-49).
  2. PewResearch conducted this study by surveying 1907 Americans over the age of 18.
  3. A question I have is, why is LinkedIn used more by middle aged adults than young adults? Also, why is it those who make more money that use LinkedIn over those with a lower salary?
